4” Espicia Lil Lemon

Espicia require similar care as Begonias and African Violets. Higher humidity does wonders for these plants! They can also tolerant lower light levels, but Medium-Bright indirect light is recommended. 

Keep in mind, Espicia specifically do not like cold temperatures. Anything under 50 degrees will cause cold damage to their leaves. Although they can recover, anything below 40 degrees... they will not recover. 

For Terrarium Use: These plants are perfect for any tropical terrarium set up. These do require higher humidity which a tropical terrarium is perfect for! To care for the plant once it is introduced to the habitat. Mist like you normally do for your reptile (a fogger is perfect as-well), that will be plenty of water for the plants as it will drip into the soil. Beneficial bugs are a huge role in Bioactive, as they will prevent any fungus or mold growing due to lack of air flow. I do recommend some form of air flow along with the higher humidity.  All of these plants do best in medium indirect light, but lower light is acceptable for most!
